Update on Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) for Treatment-Naive HIV-1 Adult Patients

Friday 29/1/2016 at 1 pm.

Abstract: There is no cure for HIV infection but treatment is aimed at reducing the plasma viral load as much as possible and for as long as possible thus slowing or halting the disease progression. The most recent British HIV Association (BHIVA) treatment guidelines published in 2015 will be discussed in relation to treatment-naive adult patients. Access to ART in Egypt will be discussed too.
